Starting with its predecessor "Label Summit Japan" in 2006, it has been held 7 times by 2019.

The previous edition, Label Forum Japan 2024, was held under the theme "Explore the future of sustainable labeling" A total of 104 exhibitors across 188 booths showcased advanced materials, equipment, services, and solutions from across the industry.
Notably, about one-third of the exhibitors were first-time participants, and thanks to the expanded venue, one in three companies presented live demonstrations of machinery and equipment. This provided visitors with a unique opportunity to directly experience the latest technologies and solutions from both domestic and international markets—highlighting the industry’s continued evolution since the prior event. Organizer
Since 1969, it has published the only specialized newspaper for label printing industry in Japan. With the newspaper and market data book "The Japanese Label Market" as its core, it also organize the events such as Label Forum Japan, and business inspection tours.
